The AFL has lodged an appeal against a landmark Federal Court ruling that found Optus has not breached copyright by showing live sports on its new TV Now service. The Federal Court recently found Optus has not breached any copyright related to Telstra's deal with the NRL and AFL to broadcast live matches on the internet.
TV Now lets Optus customers record free-to-air television from their smart phone or computer and watch it on the same device with a delay as little as two minutes.
