Greek NBA basketball players Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo have come back to their home town to play in a special game for local fans.

Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo flew back to Greece just two days after his team’s playoffs, relishing the chance to come back to his old neighbourhood of Sepolia, Athens.

“I will always miss my neighbourhood,” Giannis said.

“Just two days after the playoffs and I am back here. That says everything.”

Currently a player for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA Development League, Thanasis Antetokounmpo was amazed at the crowd that gathered to see the two spar.

“We didn’t expect so many people to show up. We believed that just our close friends would be on the court. We will try to do this every summer.”

The brothers played at the Triton open-air basketball court, the court they first played at as children.
