This month the Greek Australian Cultural League of Melbourne (GACLM) is set to launch issue 62 of the bilingual periodical Antipodes.

Taking place at the Panarkadian Association of Melbourne and Victoria, ‘O Kolokotronis’ on Sunday 16 October, the periodical will be presented by academic, writer and publisher Helen Nickas.

Circulating in the broader Australian community, as well as overseas for 43 years, this edition is being dedicated to the acclaimed and distinguished late poet, Dimitris Tsaloumas.

The launch will also see the results of the Literary Competition 2016 announced, which included works in both Greek and English by writers of Greek origin residing in Australia.

The GACLM was established in 1970 by a group of young, dedicated and visionary men and women who were passionate about the Greek language and culture. They have since continued to promote and support the creative endeavours of Greek Australian artists and writers.

The launch will take place on Sunday 16 October at 570 Victoria St, North Melbourne, VIC at 3.00pm. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
