Ever wondered what life was like for children during antiquity? If so, this is an event to note down in your diary.

Organised by the Universities of Sydney and New England, Children in Antiquity: Perspectives and Experiences of Childhood in the Ancient Mediterranean will be an opportunity to engage in the research of key international scholars working in the field.

Major advances are being made in the study of ancient childhood studies, and this event will open up a greater understanding of the history and archaeology of children in the ancient Mediterranean, focusing on the geographical regions of Egypt, Greece and Italy.

The keynote speaker during the conference will be Professor Mark Golden from the Department of Classics at Canada’s University of Winnipeg.

A free event, conference attendance is open to academics, students, ancient history high school teachers and any interested members of the general public.
