Connexion Media, the company that owns the in-car radio and music service app miRoamer, has announced another partner, linking up with Car Connectivity Consortium’s (CCC’s) MirrorLink Developer Fast Track program.

Connexion Media’s managing director George Parthimos says the new partnership will provide a seamless link to miRoamer’s smartphone connectivity.

“Being selected by the CCC for this program reinforces our position as a global leader in connected car app development,” Mr Parthimos said.

“The technical and marketing support we will receive in bringing miRoamer to MirrorLink is invaluable and provides us with another excellent platform for the radio and music service.”

MirrorLink is the leading industry standard for car-smartphone connectivity and is designed to work between a wide range of smartphones and cars. It’s also the only OS- and OEM-agnostic standard for car-smartphone connectivity.

The partnership will give Connexion Media direct access to technical support, reduce in test laboratory costs, and inclusion in the CCC’s marketing and communications to better promote the app.

The MirrorLink Developer Fast Track program also helps developers overcome becoming compliant with regional driver distraction guidelines.
MirrorLink has certified partners including Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, Alpine and Volkswagen.
