Scholarships are available for individuals who are keen to engage with the multicultural sector, and who are otherwise unable to attend the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) conference later this year due to financial reasons.

FECCA is seeking expressions of interest for the Scholarship Programme to attend, and actively participate in the 2017 National Biennial Conference Celebrate. Reflect. Advance: Our Multicultural Australia in Darwin from 8 -10 October 2017.

Successful recipients will receive free registration to attend the three-day conference. They will have access to all conference sessions (excluding the gala dinner), explore issues of interest, discuss their emerging ideas with experienced actors in the sector, network, and establish connections for the future.

Applications are encouraged in particular from:
· Women
· Those who have recently entered Australia on humanitarian visas
· Unwaged or those with valid concession cards (particularly Aged Pensioners)
· People living with disability

To submit an expression of interest submit a maximum 300-word or three-minute video expression of interest explaining why you are the ideal candidate for the Scholarship Programme, how you would benefit from participating, and how you would apply the experience in your future activities.
Send this in an email with the subject line: FECCA 2017 Scholarship Program Expression of Interest to
alia@fecca.org.au.
All expressions of interest must be submitted by 5.00pm Wednesday 16 August AEST. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dr Alia Imtoual at alia@fecca.org.au or (02) 6282 5755.
