It would seem hard work really does pay off in the end, and in these cases, it pays really big. The Business Review Weekly’s (BRW) Young Rich List was released last week, and among the nation’s wealthiest youth are four ambitious Greek Australians.

Ranking in 51st place and doing it for the girls is South Australia’s Kayla Itsines.

Together with her fiancé, the 25-year-old has built a fitness empire worth $46 million. The pair started out in 2014 with their company The Bikini Body Training, and using Instagram to promote their business, their social media campaign gained them a solid following throughout the world. They have since launched their app Sweat with Kayla, which on Android devices alone has had more than one million downloads.

Following in 42nd place is young businessman Kosta Drakopoulos. After abandoning his studies in construction, at the age of 20 he decided to return; a decision that has paid off, with him having managed to build an impressive fortune of $60 million. After starting out at Construction Buxton and Hickory Group, in 2006 he established construction company Drakk, specialising in small apartments with projects ranging between five and $30 million.

Higher up the ladder in 27th place was Tim Dimitriou, up six spots from his 2015 ranking. Said to be worth $84 million, the co-founder and director of Acquire Learning has helped to expand the rapid development of education and employment services in the UK.

Meanwhile, the highest- achieving Greek Australian was Nick Georgalis in 17th place, with assets worth $144 million. Considered to be one of the most successful real estate agents in Canberra, he is the founder and owner of construction company Geocon and owner of Abode Apartment Hotels.

What is most impressive is that the entrepreneur managed to double his assets in just 12 months, having been listed on BRW’s Young Rich List in 2015 in 36th place with $72 million.
