The multicultural community of Fawkner in Melbourne’s northern suburbs will be treated to a free football clinic and a special All Stars match with former Socceroos Craig Foster, David Zdrilic and ‘Mr Football’ Les Murray.

This Saturday, the event ‘One Goal, One Community Day, the World Game comes to Fawkner – Celebrating Multiculturalism and Diversity through Football’ willbring together the wider local community to have a bit of fun with the world’s most popular sport.

To kick things off, John Fawkner Secondary College XI will battle it out for the One Goal, One Community Cup against an SBS All Stars and former Socceroos team at 11.00 am.

After the match, members of the community will be able to take part in a free junior football clinic with Craig Foster and David Zdrilic.

Designed for local boys and girls and primary school students, the clinic will be a chance to help budding football stars hone their tricks.

Those wanting to participate in the clinic will need to register their interest by contacting either John Fawkner Secondary College on 9359 1166 john.fawkner.sc@edumail.vic.gov.au or MP Kevin Thomson’s Office on 9350 5777 or Anthony.Cianflone@aph.gov.au

The event is a joint initiative by federal member for Wills, Kelvin Thomson, SBS and the Melbourne City College of Football at John Fawkner Secondary College.
