Golden Dawn party member Ilias Kasidiaris found himself in hot water in parliament on Monday, when he was thrown out for assaulting an opposition lawmaker.

Captured on camera was New Democracy's Nikos Dendias walking in front of the far-right MP while he was addressing an economic affairs committee, when Mr Kasidiaris said "Don't walk in front of me. Can't you see I'm talking?"

However cameras stopped rolling just before the real drama took place, with Mr Dendias claiming that Mr Kasidiaris assaulted him and threw water at him.
"He said 'Hey, where are you going?' I didn't move and he pushed me with both hands," Mr Dendias told Kathimerini.

"I continued to stand still and he made a move to attack me but others held him back … he then grabbed some bottles and started throwing water at me."
Following the incident, committee chairman Makis Balaouras called for the Golden Dawn member to be ejected from parliament, shouting "You are contaminating parliament. Get out!"

"I thought it right to stand my ground, because moving would have meant something. I stayed put and the result was that almost the entire parliamentary group of Golden Dawn started cursing, not just me, but also the former prime minister [Antonis Samaras] and [former transport minister] Makis Voridis, throwing bottles, water, and all sorts of objects," said Mr Dendias.

Meanwhile, a video captured Mr Kasidiaris storming out of the plenary chamber visibly enraged, declaring, "I f---ed a girl inside there and that's why I'm leaving".

Mr Dendias said he suspected the assault was in fact linked to his role in building a criminal case against Golden Dawn following the murder of rapper Pavlos Fyssas in 2013.

This is not the first time Mr Kasidiaris has found himself in such a debacle however. In 2012 he threw a glass of water at Syriza deputy Rena Dourou and slapped Communist Party MP Liana Kanelli three times on live TV.
