For the past 20 years the Greek Welfare Centre has been organising Easter and Christmas Food Hamper and Toy Appeals for Greek Australian households in financial need, with the solid support of the parish network of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.

Food donations are welcomed: non-perishable and non-expired items (cooking oil, pasta, rice, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, canned food (including vegetables, meats, hams etc), sauces, flour, spices, and snacks, etc. Toys as close to new as possible and preferably in their original packaging to ensure a pleasurable experience for recipient children are also requested.

Your donations can be dropped off at any of the Greek Orthodox churches this weekend, or at the Greek Welfare Centre at the Holy Monastery of Axion Esti (7 Hartington Street, Northcote) until Friday 22 December.

To find out more contact your local church or the Northcote Greek Welfare Centre in Victoria on (03) 9486 6588 and talk to Edmond Kaderoglou or John Pilalid.
