Hurstville City Council will be hosting a Greek-themed night market in March and is calling for any Greek vendors or stallholders to come forward and express their interest.

The night market will be a chance for traders to get their products out to a wider NSW market, while adding to the array of Greek-themed entertainment options.

There will be free activities for children, live music, Greek dancing performances and live cooking demonstrations.

The Hurstville City Council is looking for any stallholders of Greek produce, street food and arts and crafts to take part.

The Greek Night Market will be held on Saturday 14 March, and will be the first of a number of ethnic communities that will be featured in the markets.

The council hopes to host a night market ever second Saturday of every month until May. April will centre on the Indian and Nepalese communities while the May market will be about the Middle East. If the markets are successful, more ethnic communities will be approached to take part.
