The Gribilas family has gotten the support of some big names in the Greek Australian community for their big fundraising dinner on Thursday.
Mary Coustas, aka Effie, will be hosting the event while Greek singers Nikos Kourkoulis and Kelli Kelekidou will perform live as guests of honour.
Kostas and Poppy Gribilas began the Konstantina Angelique Gribilas Foundation in honour of their infant daughter’s memory.
The family lost their daughter suddenly in 2013, after she suffered heart complications.
The care Konstantina Angelique received at the Sydney Children’s Hospital is something that stayed with the couple and it was what pushed them to form a fundraising foundation to give back and say thanks.
Recently the family held a radiothon and amassed around $47,000 in pledges.
The dinner event is the culmination of more than six months work for the family, who are hoping to raise enough funds to help the hospital’s intensive care unit buy new equipment.
The fundraising dinner will be held at the Grand Ballroom at Le Montage in Sydney and tickets are $185.
