The fastest, most powerful Australian-made car will hit the market around August this year. The flagship model of the new VF Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) range will boast a 6.2 litre Supercharged V8 developing more than 430kW of power (575 horsepower) and an astounding 740Nm of torque, all for under $100,000.

This brutal hi-performance HSV muscle car is set to become the fastest four-door sedan in the world with its 105Kw jump in power or 32 per cent more than the current top engine. It is HSV’s biggest single power increase in its 25-year history. The new mega-grunt supercharged GEN F GTS model will even have more power than the limited edition HSV W427 375kW 7.0 litre V8s and will completely eclipse the Ford Falcon’s 335kW GT.

HSV’s 6.2-litre supercharged V8 is basically derived from the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with the local GTS radically re-engineered to ensure its safety and reliability. The Australian made car is set to rival the 412kW BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 430kW AMG, Audi RS6 412kW twin turbo V8, Maserati Quattroporte 390kW, Porsche Panamera Turbo at 382kW and the Aston Martin Rapide’s 410Kw V12.

Not all the HSVs will have the supercharger option. There will be three models from the entry level 317kW 6.2-litre Clubsport, R8 with 325 Kw (same motor as in the current Clubsport, Senator, Grange and GTS models) and the brand new ‘SV Enhanced’ model with 340 Kw on tap.
