The Hawthorn Spartans had a great start to the season with an epic 51 point win over Brunswick NOBS at their ground on Saturday.

The Spartans made a great team effort with six new players debuting in Round One, leading at every change and managing to meet most of their KPI’s.

Former Carlton champ Ang Christou kicked three goals during the game and assisted in many others.

The win sees the Spartans sitting on top of the ladder in the Club 18 First Division, and are looking to win the three peat, three premierships in a row this season.

2nd Qtr: 4.8.32 to 3.3.21
3rd Qtr: 8.13.61 to 3.5.23
Final Score: 11.16.82 to 4.7.31
