On Saturday, in wet conditions the Spartans continued their good form from last week to record a huge win by 105 points at Alec Gillon Oval in Brunswick.

The match was pretty much even in the first quarter.

Former Carlton champion Ang Christou turned the game with 3 goals in the first half.

The final score was Spartans 18.11.119 to Brunswick NOBSPC 1.8.14.

The Spartans had 7 goalkickers, 29 scoring shots and achieved all KPI’s.

It was a great team effort and the backline were fantastic keeping the opposition to one goal for the game and that was in the 3rd quarter.

Goalkickers were Ang Christou 5,John Farah 5, Ari Mitropoulos 3, Tyson Barber 2, Mohammed Dabab 1,Yussuf Issam 1 and Alan Mok 1.

Best Players were James Maddock, Tyson Barber, Anthony Demetriou, Mohammed Dabab, Sam Speer and John Farah.

The Spartans are now 7 wins and one loss, second on the ladder and 3 games clear of third.

Next Saturday 4 June, it is 1 vs 2 and Spartans play arch rivals Old Xaverians at 11.40am at Bulleen Park, Melbourne.
