Australian Academy of the Humanities invites you to their 17th A D Trendall Lecture in Classical Studies, The Gleam Through The Arch – Homer’s World Revisited, presented by Emeritus Professor Trevor Bryce.

The lecture will look afresh at the social and cultural factors which helped shape the creation of the Homeric epics, and more generally the sociocultural environment in which they were first performed.
