Ange Postecoglou will help launch the Hellenic Club’s Speaker Series which will be hosted by the ever mercurial man of football, Les Murray.

The successful 90-year-old Hellenic Club will honour the Socceroos coach and his many achievements on May 11 with a special lunch.

The Hellenic Club has been a leader with the promotion of Greek culture in the local community. The lunch with Postecoglou is the first in a regular lecture series that will see many local Hellenes speak about their achievements and journeys in life.

This event will be hosted by Les Murray. The SBS commentator and author is considered one of the foremost experts on football and is in many respects royalty of the game.

Bill Kritharas, the vice president of the Hellenic Club who has championed the speaker series, told Neos Kosmos that the whole board is delighted to host such an accomplished and great coach.

“His achievements speak for themselves and he has done wonders for football in this country and we are privileged,” Mr Kritharas says.

He hopes that Postecoglou can return one day after the Socceroos have won the World Cup.

Tickets are priced at $110 for Hellenic Club members and $140 for non members.
