Lorenzo tightens grip on Moto GP title
Australian, Casey Stoner grabbed his second pole position of the season in qualifying for the Catalunya Grand Moto GP last weekend
Australian, Casey Stoner grabbed his second pole position of the season in qualifying for the Catalunya Grand Moto GP last weekend. Casey's Repsol Honda clocked the fastest time of 1 minute 41.295 seconds, 0.146 ahead of Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo.
Although Stoner started from pole position, it was Jorge Lorenzo who tightened his grip on the MotoGP title when he beat Dani Pedrosa to victory at Catalunya last Sunday. Lorenzo went to the lead late in the race and pulled away from Pedrosa's Repsol Honda to take ut his third win in five rounds so far this year.
Andrea Dovizioso came in third on his Yamaha, with Pedrosa's Honda team-mate and defending champion Stoner in fourth spot followed by Britain's Cal Crutchlow in his Yamaha fifth.
