In a joyous celebration of music, culture, food and life, come along to see Magna Grecia.

Experience the coming together of southern Italian folk darlings Santa Taranta and Greek fusion aficionados GYZI as they premiere their new Italian and Greek ensemble, Magna Grecia.

A region on the southern Italian coast, Magna Grecia is where Hellenic civilisation and ancient Roman cultures co-existed for centuries, sharing music, culture, food and life.

The tribute to this long and fruitful cultural exchange promises to offer spirited song, rustic cuisine and endless dancing.Magna Grecia will be supported by ARIA Award winners The haBiBis, performing exquisite traditional music from Greece, Anatolia, the Balkans and the eastern Mediterranean as well as contemporary ballads and songs from the modern Greek repertoire.

Irine Vela will be on the laouto, bouzouki and guitar; Pascal Latra on vocals, baglama and percussion; Mulaim Vela on guitar; and special guest Kat Stevens on violin.
