Politicians and Journalists: Adversaries or Bedfellows?
A panel discussion involving prominent journalists who will respond to former Prime Mininster John Howard’s lecture on the relationship between politicians and the media, and examine the relationship from the perspective of working reporters and editors.
Michael Gawenda, a former Editor of The Age and now the Director of the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Advanced Journalism will chair the panel discussion.
The panelists are ABC Lateline presenter Leigh Sales, business commentator and former Editor of The Age and The Australian Financial Review, Alan Kohler, and senior political writer and columnist George Megalogenis from The Australian.
