Melbourne Victory dominated Sydney FC with a 3-0 win, proving them the best team in the competition.

Ange Postecoglou’s Socceroos favourite Mark Milligan, was awarded the Joe Marston medal as the most effective player on the pitch slaying Sydney FC’s midfielders.

Marc Janko strongly marked Milligan, but he managed not only to boost the team’s defense as a quarter-back, but to also maintain the ball and built a very strong tactic along with Milos Dimitrijevic and Kosta Barbarouse to whom he directed most of his passes.

Milligan opted for a more collective effort even though he managed to set and fire off a couple of risky shots by himself.

“The most satisfying thing about tonight is we set out to do something a long time ago,” Mark Milligan said.

“I asked the boys to dig deep tonight and to start the game well, to give everything they had and have no regrets.

“We worked extremely hard together and after a long season we got what we deserved.

“That’s the most satisfying thing,” he added.
