The Melbourne Writers Festival is back again with an exciting line up of writers covering an array of subject matters.

Maria Katsonis, Greek Australian senior executive at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet and writer of The Good Greek Girl, will be taking part in a number of events including ‘Good Muslim Boy, Good Greek Girl’.

She will be joining Osamah Sami on the panel, where the writers will delve into what it’s like to be a first-generation migrant stuck between cultures – especially when who you’re supposed to be conflicts with who you really are.

Hosted by Jan Molloy, both Katsonis and Sami will reflect on the challenges of battling expectations and defying stereotypes.

Tickets are currently available at www.mwf.com.au/session/good-muslim-boy-good-greek-girl/

Cost of entry is $22 (adult) or $19 (concession), or can be purchased as part of a 5 or 10 pack.
