The cosmopolitan Greek island of Mykonos is the second hottest destination for 2015 for Australians according to global travel search engine Skyscanner, which has revealed the top 10 destinations that are tipped to surge in popularity next year.
According to the report, Mykonos, also known as the party island of Greece, is experiencing a revival thanks to it coming back into vogue with celebrities and famous DJs. Naomi Campbell, Ronaldo and Lindsay Lohan were all spotted in this Greek paradise this year and it’s being promoted as the cheaper, more fun version of Ibiza.
The first destination for next year for Aussies is Myanmar. Flight searches from Australia to this emerging country were up 56 per cent, with many luxury hotel brands rushing to move in.
