OMG Week will see the most famous Greek chefs from Australia and around the world come together in Melbourne for a week of culinary creation and cross collaboration.

Taking place in Australia’s Hellenic heartland, this exciting meeting-of-culinary- minds embraces the many styles and traditions of Greek cooking, from the classic Greek staples at Melbourne’s iconic tavernas, to the latest innovations in Athens’ bar and restaurant scene.

A series of special events will include dinners, workshops, dessert bars, and a high tea, featured across The Press Club, Press Club – Projects, Hellenic Republic and The Langham Melbourne.

On Tuesday 24 November, two of Athens’ finest chefs, Christoforos Peskias (Balthazar) and Stelios Parliaros (Sweet Alchemy), will be working side by side with George Calombaris and the team in The Press Club kitchen to create a five-course menu of epic proportions.

The next day, Wednesday 25 November, Hellenic Republic’s own Travis McAuley, George Calombaris and Sydney superstars Jonathan Barthelmess (The Apollo) and David Tsirekas (Xanthi), will join forces to serve up a feast of the finest Hellenic fare.

A three-course sharing menu including beverage will be awaiting Greek taverna food aficionados.

On Thursday 26 November, Christoforos Peskias (Balthazar), Stelios Parliaros (Sweet Alchemy), David Tsirekas (Xanthi), Jonathan Barthelmess (The Apollo) and George Calombaris will prepare an exquisite Thursday night Greek feast, featuring interactive stations with the chefs themselves, at Melba restaurant, presenting an intricate five-course menu.

At the grounds of Aria, Bar & Lounge at the Langham, Greece’s internationally renowned pastry chef Stelios Parliaros will create and host his own Sweet Alchemy high tea on Friday 27 November.

For $55 per person, Stelios’ beautifully-crafted delights are guaranteed to titillate your tastebuds, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine, espresso coffee or leaf tea.

Last but certainly not least, Anna Polyviou will be opening the hottest dessert bar in Melbourne for one night only, on Saturday 28 November at 6.00 pm.

The pastry punk queen will be hosting and serving up some indulgent and inventive sweet treats in the ultimate creative kitchen that is Press Club – Projects.
