As part of the Darebin Homemade Food & Wine Festival, which takes place from 11-17 May 2015 celebrating food traditions and sustainable food practices, Mediterranean masters of home grown produce Ilias Papadopoulos (Greece) and Sam Ferraro (Italy) will hold a workshop.

The duo aims to demonstrate how easy it is to preserve your home grown olives. There will also be a gold coin donation to the Darebin Fruit Squad. Registrations for the workshop are essential.

The Darebin Homemade Food & Wine Festival features several other workshops, seminars, demonstrations and special events, culminating in the ‘meet the makers’ showcase on Saturday 16 May 2015 from 1.00-4.00 pm, where one can enjoy free beer and wine tastings. Attendees can also enter their own homemade wine, beer, passata, ajvar or olives into the competition by Wednesday 6 May.

Entry applications can be downloaded. It is a free event and no bookings are required.
