Olympiakos scored a Pyrrhic victory in Turkey, downing Anadolu Efes but losing its center, Patric Young on Thursday, while Panathinaikos grabbed its second Euroleague win in five games thrashing visiting Zalgiris Kaunas on Friday.

The Reds, now on a 4-1 record, emerged victorious from the match in Istanbul needing overtime to beat host Efes 91-87 after a close encounter particularly in the second half that ended 76-76.

Giorgos Printezis scored 17 points to once again make up for a poor shooting night for captain Vassilis Spanoulis (two in 11 field goals).

The Greek champions are already looking for a replacement for Young, who suffered a serious injury in the first quarter of the game.

Panathinaikos had to beat Zalgiris to stay in the race for a top-four finish in the group after three losses in four games, and gave it all against the Lithuanians winning 91-56 in Athens.

Miroslav Raduljica was the top scorer of the Greens with 18 points on the night.

At the Eurocup on Wednesday AEK won 86-60 at Neptunas Klaipeda, PAOK saw off Lietuvos Rytas 81-76 in Thessaloniki and Aris lost 96-84 at Banvit.
