In memory of the 13 million lives lost in the Eastern European Front during the First World War, the Greek Orthodox, Antiochian Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Serbian Orthodox and Romanian Orthodox Churches in Australia will host a Pan-Orthodox Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service to commemorate the 100 year anniversary.

This service will be offered in each church’s native tongue, as well as in English, and is the first of its kind ever to be held on Australian soil.

The service will take place next Saturday 19 July 2014, at the Holy Monastery of Axion Esti, 7 Hartington Street, Northcote, Victoria.

The Matins Service, commencing at 8.00 am, will be followed by the Divine Liturgy Service at 10.00 am and then by the Memorial Service and a Laying of Wreaths Ceremony at the Cenotaph commencing at 12 noon.
