Singapore Airlines cancel flights to Greece
Singapore Airlines Ltd. says it will no longer fly to Greece because of weak passenger demand
Singapore Airlines Ltd. says it will no longer fly to Greece because of weak passenger demand.
The carrier, who has flown to Athens since 1972, said in a statement that its two weekly flights to Athens will end on October 26.
The reason for the decision comes as the company reported losses of $31 million in the first quarter as higher fuel costs and slowing demand growth hurts profits. Singapore Airlines is the world's second-largest carrier by market capitalisation.
