Calling all skateboarding enthusiasts – this one’s for you.

Greek Australian skateboarding legend Tas Pappas will be making a special appearance at Collingwood’s Gasometer for an intimate Q&A.

But whether you’re interested in skateboarding or not, this is one life story you’re guaranteed to want to know more about.

It was in the late 1980s that Tas and his brother Ben first made an appearance at a Melbourne skate park and astonished onlookers with their acrobatic feats.

It didn’t take long before their skills saw them heading to the United States, where the pair found themselves in epic skate combat with rival Tony Hawk.

From that point on their lives took a turn, with experiences of fame, drugs and even prison; not at all surprising when living in the ultra fast-lane.

The Pappas brothers’ story has since been made in a film entitled All This Mayhem, directed in 2014 by their childhood friend Eddie Martin and produced by George Pank, Eddie Martin and James Gay-Rees.

Presented by Pub Talks, if you, like the rest of us, are intrigued and have a question for Tas, be sure to submit it online prior to the event.

Tas Pappas Talks is set to take place at Gasometer (484 Smith Street, Collingwood, VIC) on Wednesday 17 February at 8.30 pm (doors open at 8.00 pm).

Please note this is an adults only event; patrons must be aged 18 and over, and ID is required upon entry. Cost of attendance is $18.40 per person.
