On Saturday the Spartans had a gutsy win against second team on the ladder and arch rival Old Xaverians at their home ground by 28 points in their toughest match of the season. In good conditions the Spartans started well and finished well to be too strong against a strong opposition who still have not beaten the Spartans in 3 attempts this season. It was another great team performance.
The Spartans were never headed, won the 1st and last quarters and lost the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
