FX Networks gave its viewers a sneak peak of the upcoming show Baskets by releasing the first teaser trailer online.
The forthcoming series, to be released in 2016, follows the adventures of Chip Baskets, a man who aspires to become a professional clown.
After failing to attend a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the hero, played by Galifianakis, finds himself stuck in California working in a local rodeo to make a living.
In the teaser clip, Baskets arrives at a fast food drive through, asking for a soda.
He soon realises that none of the soda brands of his preference are available at the specific branch and lashes out at the customer service employee.
Aside from landing the leading role, Galifianakis, who happens to be the co-creator of the show along with Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel, is also on the board of producers.
The comic will also be voicing the Joker in the latest Warner Bros movie Lego Batman.
