The ABC will be showing a special snippet of the Xylouris family documentary called “A Family Affair”.

Screening on ABC1 at 10pm (AEST) and entitled “Sounds like Home”, the 30 minute snippet from the hour long film will follow the Xylouris Family, documenting three generations, two countries and one family of musicians.

The film includes footage in both Australia and Greece, as the film crew lead by director Angeliki Aristomenopoulou followed the family to Australia to film them performing at the Golden Plains festival, Womadelaide festival, and their Sydney, Castlemaine and Melbourne performances.

The full 85 minute version of the film will be released theatrically in early 2015 in Greece and Australia.

The Cretan Association of Sydney and NSW also made a donation towards the cost of producing the film last year and are listed as an associate producers.
