According to media reports, Monash Councillor Theo Zographos is eyeing pre-selection for the federal seat of Dunkley.
The speculation has arisen following Bruce Billson’s decision to step down from the position.
Mr Zographos took part in the elections for the seat of Oakleigh last year, losing out to Labor MP Steve Dimopoulos.
Other starters include Peter Angelico, an important local party figure and founder of Dandenong steel bending company Kazed; Nathan Hersey, a member of Mr Billson’s staff; Former Kingston mayor Paul Peulich, son of upper house MP and frontbencher Inga Peulich,
Former Carrum MP and cancer survivor Donna Bauer has also made clear her intention to contest the seat.
