In the second half of 2015, the Australian Archaeological Institute of Athens will be conducting an exclusive tour to Greece.

Set to kick off on September 19 until October 3, 2015, the 17-day expedition will take tourists on an itinerary designed to cover and highlight the fieldwork undertaken by Australian archaeologists in Greece since the 1960s.

Destination highlights include Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Zagora and Torone, with the tour being led by two Australian professional archaeologists and experienced tour leaders, Helen Nicholson and Archondia Thanos.

A boutique tour with a maximum group size of 18, those taking part will have the unique opportunity to meet the Australian team members working at the site of Zagora and to hear about the important research they are undertaking, spend time off the tourist trail on the Sithonia Peninsula and go behind the scenes of current archaeology in Greece, amongst various other activities and outings.

The cost of the tour, excluding international flights, is $7,450 per person (inclusive of domestic flights in Greece).
