Following her successful Ideas exhibition held recently in the Peloponnese city of Nafplio, Greek artist Barbara Gerodimou's new exhibition of lavishly detailed work, entitled Ideas II, is now on display in Athens at the Melissia Cultural Centre. Her works depict a recurring theme of alluring feminine figures capturing classical Greek beauty and dress.
The latest exhibition of the Marathon-based artist highlights new oil-based artworks that reveal the artist's talent for combining mythology and modernity. Gerodimou studied and worked as a goldsmith before turning her talents to painting, and she loans her past experiences to new expression using rich touches of gold. Ideas II is now on at the Melissia Cultural Centre, Athens. For more info, visit www.gerodimou.com
