With hundreds of children across Victoria affected by family violence each year, this year’s bestchance Annual Forum will focus on addressing family violence head on.

No cultural group is immune to the extreme negative impact on children from witnessing or experiencing violence amongst loved ones, often seeing them left just as affected as if they were the victims themselves.

Taking place on Wednesday 26 October, speakers will take a look at the role played by early childhood services.

The afternoon will commence with keynote speaker, CEO of inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence Maya Avdibegovic, followed by Senior Policy Advisor at Domestic Violence Victoria Prue Cameron, who will provide an update on the current reforms in the family violence sector.

The forum will also be an opportunity to raise any questions and to network with professionals working in the field.

bestchance is an independent not-for-profit organisation and has been providing support to children and families since 1895 in the eastern metropolitan region of Victoria.

The bestchance Annual Forum will take place at the Clayton Theatrette, 15 Cooke St, Clayton, VIC from 3pm to 5.30pm. Seats are limited, so be sure to RSVP online: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/bestchance-annual-forum-addressing-famil…
