Dora's recipe: Chocolate cake with mastic
Already decadent, this chocolate cake reaches a whole new level with the introduction of mastic
Ingredients
75 grams self-rising flour
50 grams milk
150 grams butter (melted)
150 grams of good chocolate
3 eggs separated
150 grams sugar
Pinch salt
4 - 5 drops of mastic oil (or 6 -8 grams of finely crushed mastic tear drops)
Method
1. Heat over to 150C
2. Melt the chocolate in a bowel over hot water
3. In a separate bowel mix 120 grams of the sugar with the egg yolks
4. Add the egg yolks into the chocolate, which has been taken of the heat
5. Add the milk, flour, salt, and fold
6. Beat egg whites with the reaming sugar till stiff in clean bowel and add
7. Add the mastic
8. Pour the cake mix in a well-lined cake tin
9. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes
