Dr Erma Vasiliou will be launching the first volume of her autobiography You Can Still Dream – the Long Rainy Season and the short dry season, next week. The author will also present her new poetry publications on the day.
The writer’s autobiography will be presented by Dr Maria Herodotou, Head of the Greek Studies Program, La Trobe, and the poetry collections by poet Dimitri Troaditis. The collection Behold the woman, do not let go, will be launched by radio journalist Rena Frankioudakis.
Dr Christina Phassouliotis of the University of Melbourne will give a short talk on a writer’s life post-trauma.
The literary afternoon – presented by La Trobe University’s Modern Greek Studies Program, in cooperation with the Greek-Australian Cultural League, the Hellenic Writers’ Association and Aphrodite Editions – will take place at the Community Centre Oakleigh Saint Anargyroi on Sunday 9 September at 3:30 pm.
