• President Barack Obama has been critisised for his recent fashion
    choices. Obama chose to wear a pair of baggy old jeans when he threw
    out the first pitch at an All-Star baseball game this week and has
    since been described as “frumpy and daggy.” The president defended
    himself saying: “I hate to shop. Those jeans are comfortable. For those
    of you who want your president to look great in his tight jeans, I’m
    sorry. I’m not the guy.”

    magazines. It’s the month they bring out their biggest issues, usually
    packed with ads. Last year, Vogue booked over 673 pages of advertising
    for the September issue – a whopping 23 per cent of their yearly ad
    sales! However it seems that this year the GFC will have an affect on
    these figures with ads at Elle magazine falling 21 per cent!
  • Designer Adam Harvey has invented the world’s first
    anti-paparazzi handbag. The bag protects camera-shy celebrities by
    ruining paparazzi shots with a dazzling flash. The bag has a sensor
    that triggers a blinding light when it detects a camera flash, causing
    a massive glare. Harvey is hoping to collaborate with a handbag
    designer to ensure his bags become hot property.
  • Quick fact: A recent study has found that British women carry an
    average of $120 worth of cosmetics in their make-up bags. Another
    survey by Avon has found that Australian women carry at least $150
    worth of cosmetics in their bags with mascara being the most popular
    item and lipstick coming a close second
