Another prostitute has tested positive for HIV, taking the total number found to be carrying the virus to 25, authorities said on Tuesday.
The Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO) checked nine women during the day.
A Romanian woman was confirmed as having HIV during the checks, KEELPNO said.
The center said it would continue the checks, which have found another 24 HIV positive prostitutes over the last two weeks.
Hundreds of men have called the KEELPNO hotline over fears that they may have contracted HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, after having unprotected sex with the prostitutes.
