The implications of the Greek economic crises and its impact on Australian Greeks will be discussed by the Australian Hellenic Council (AHC)
The implications of the Greek economic crises and its impact on Australian Greeks will be discussed by the Australian Hellenic Council (AHC) and will be presented at the Federal Lobby Day in September.
The organisation has called on members of the community to present suggestions for relevant issues and topics they felt needed to be discussed.
Now part of the agenda of the coming Lobby Day will be a recap and discussion of the Macedonian and Cypriot Issues, the Ottoman Genocide of Christian Minorities, Greek language issues and most relevant to recent events, a discussion of the implications of the Greek economic crisis for Australian Hellenes.
The Lobby Day also aims to go over and discuss the future directions and possible restructuring of the Australian Hellenic Council, and the establishment of the AHC National Working Group.
AHC National Chairman Evan Kakulas said in a statement that the organisation welcomes "additional suggestions from the community or modifications to the agenda".
The AHC Preconference invitation scheduled for Saturday 07 July in Melbourne. For more information you can contact Evan Kakulas by emailing chairman@australianhelleniccouncil.com
