Here’s a cool way to sell vinyl records: make them into iPhone 4S cases.
Griffin Technology and Third Man Records have collaborated to build iPhone 4S cases from genuine 7″ vinyl records.

The products are cut into the shape of a protective case for the Apple smartphone.
Each case has a moulded frame which snaps around the iPhone, holding the record insert in place. This protects the iPhone controls, edges, and screen of the iPhone. Slots are cut out for volume controls, headphone port, hold switch, and dock connector.

The vinyl cases come in yellow, black or white, and are available exclusively from the Griffin Technology or Third Man Records websites for between US$19.99 and US$29.99.
I just wonder what the hell these guys were doing when they thought up the idea.
