Belly dancing Bo-gyptian, Lay-Lah Wazir is the incarnation of character comedienne Yvonne Malik and writer Margarita Maragoudaki.
Performing at this years Melbourne International Comedy festival, Lay-Lah is a deluded bogan belly dancer who has become a motivational ‘speecher’ in order to afford the life to which she has become accustomed in Lalor.
The show is about poking fun at society’s love of modern day excesses.
A Nightmare on High Street runs until April 20 (Wednesdays to Saturdays) at 6.30pm and tickets are $22 for adults and $18 concession or groups of four or more.
