Spoken-word poet Luka Lesson has taken his new album ‘Exit’ Australia wide on his current tour The People Tour. This weekend, Lesson is in Melbourne, moving around Australia until he finishes the tour in Byron Bay on July 13.

Luka Lesson has built a worldwide following through piercingly honest poetry, breathtaking performances and vigorous grassroots touring across five continents.

His new album ‘Exit’ is a convergence of spoken word and hip hop in a lyrical marriage of eclectic production and a deep love for storytelling. Luka Lesson is the next significant artist in the canon of powerful spoken word/hip hop MCs like Saul Williams (USA) and Scroobius Pip (UK).

For this tour Luka Lesson wanted to find a new way to tour Australia that would engage directly with his fans, who have become more than just an audience but an integral part of his artform and performances.

This tour will take place in non-conventional spaces, inside people’s homes and lounge rooms, and in community buildings – blurring the lines between private and public and creating an even stronger connection with the community.
