South Australian property company, the Maras Group have picked up yet another international award – this time at a gala ceremony in Germany.
Last week they were presented in Berlin with the 2014 Diamond Eye Award for Quality Commitment and Excellence by the Paris-based OtherWays Management Association Club.

This award recognises companies from around the world who demonstrate a high level commitment to quality and excellence. Maras Group was also presented with TQM (Total Quality Management) Accreditation.

The awards ceremony, held at the Intercontinental Hotel in the German capital, was a spectacular event with representatives from more than 40 countries attending, along with diplomats representing the winning nations.

Maras Group CEO Steve Maras told Neos Kosmos: “We are thrilled to bits to have been again recognised internationally for our work, and our commitment to quality and excellence. It’s something we work hard at each day to ensure we get the best out of each other and to drive our company forward with greater confidence.”

Mr Maras added that his company’s presence in Berlin was “a great opportunity to promote, and educate global delegates and world leaders, about South Australia, to plug our great state and continue to put us on the map”.

“We are out there whenever and wherever we can, selling our most precious brand, Brand SA, that is,” said Mr Maras.

Later this month Maras Group’s globe-trotting chief executive will fly to Kuala Lumpur to attend the 2014 Global Leadership Awards where he will receive a ‘Global Visionary CEO of the Year’ award.

Maras Group was founded in 2006 by Steve’s father – Adelaide property developer Theo Maras, whose grandfather emigrated from Ikaria in the 1920s.
