Exclusive double preview of movies Encardia – The Dancing Stone (2012, 80′) and Papadopoulos & Sons will be featured as part of 2014 Festival Hellenika.
The Greek band Encardia is inspiried by, creates and performs music and songs derived from the rich musical tradition of South Italy. The documentary follows the band as they travel to South Italy searching and bringing to light basic elements of the Greek dialect folk culture that developed there. in Greek with English subtitles.
Papadopoulos & Sons (2012, 109′) is directed by Marcus Markou. Following his ruin in the latest banking crisis, a self-made millionaire reluctantly re-unites with his estranged freewheeling brother to reopen the abandoned fish and chip shop they shared in their youth.
