A new show by Greek Australian theatre troupe Oi Alloi has taken to the stage.
The show, You must do whatever I say. Your mother!, is about two generations colliding, and is a must see for the Greek community, especially the second and third generations.
It’s a modern drama that depicts the hard truths of Greek immigrant family life in Australia and the hardships faced by the first and second generations. It’s the story of a strong matriarch, a strict mother and a dominant wife, directed by Yiannis Dimakakos, written by Yiannouko.
The show stars Christos Myron, Christiana, Konstantinos Tremoulis, Yiota Argyropoulos, Michalis Georgakopoulos, Eftichia Kouvarntas, Vasileios Mentis and Eleni Stergios.
The show will take place at Oakleigh Secondary College, Barkers Road, Oakleigh South, and every Saturday and Sunday following until the 21 April. Sunday performances are on at 6:30 pm.
