Jennifer Aniston is barely recognisable as she begins filming scenes for her latest film, Cake, in Los Angeles.
The movie – in which the 45-year-old actress stars and is also executive producer – is about a woman in a pain support group who becomes interested in the suicide of another member, and then develops a relationship with the deceased woman’s husband.
Playing the character of Claire, Aniston’s character sports a rather short brunette bob and loose-fitting clothing, and released photos from the set reveal marked scars on her face and body as well. The indie flick is directed by Daniel Barnz, and also stars Anne Kendrick, Sam Worthington and William H. Macy. Written by Patrick Tobin, Cake is the first title of a five-film deal with After Dark Films and China’s Shenghua Entertainment.
