The word is out - Greek singer Peggy Zina will be in Australia just before summer. The blonde bombshell has one show locked in so far for Melbourne Cup long weekend, with more shows around Australia likely to be announced.
Born in Athens, it was her debut self-titled album in 1995 that shot her to stardom. The album produced the controversial hit An Pas Me Alli Tha Sou Spaso to Kefali. So far she has eleven studio releases under her belt with one coming out sometime this year. She is ranked the 24th top-certified female artist in the nation's phonographic era (since 1960), totalling nine (five at the time) platinum and two gold records. She has worked alongside other Greek singers like Nikos Vertis, Thanos Petrelis and Notis Sfakianakis.
