The truth about Onassis on stage
A new one-man play on the life of Aristotle Onassis aims to offer some insight into the life of the most famous shipping magnate
Aristotle Onassis in his highly publicised marriage to Jackie Kennedy.
A new one-man play on the life of Aristotle Onassis aims to offer some insight into the life of the most famous shipping magnate.
With all that's written and said about Onassis, no one has yet featured his life on stage, not until Onassis, The Play.
The play tells the story of the Greek billionaire as written and acted by Anthony Skordi.
Skordi trained at the Drama Centre of London and has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as the Moving Theatre Company. He wanted to tell Onassis' story because "a lot of lies have been told about Onassis; people have made stuff up about him and I've written this because I want to set the record straight [on] who the real man was and what made him tick".
The world premiere of Onassis, The Play is September 14 at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood. For more information, visit www.onassistheplay.info/
